About Us

The HCR team is led by Dr. Glenn L. Smith, Principal Investigator. He is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand surgery since the 80’s. Retiring from surgery in 2000. His commitment to the investigations conducted at HCR, along with this dedicated research facility and the reasonable number of studies undertaken result in a sharply focused attention by the principal investigator on every clinical trial that is completed.

Dr. Vicki J. Conrad joined our team, as a Principal Investigator in 2013 and heads up the Diabetes, Fibromyalgia and Asthma Studies. She has been in private practice in Edmond Oklahoma for more that 20 years. She exemplifies the ideal PI with her attention to detail and oversight. Dr. Conrad truly enjoys the process of research. As well as, compounding speciality medication for a myriad of treatments.

Our executive leadership has built a research team recruited for their analytical skills as well as their genuine compassion and ability to relate to study volunteers. This group has performed admirably in community outreach events, educating and performing health screening assessments to a diversity of community groups. Our staff works an expanded day to accommodate participant schedules and will see patients on weekends or evenings to ensure success.

Our group of professionals work together in a team environment with all members respected for their contributions to the study goals. Our staff is small enough to promote efficient communication but large enough to build in redundancy for all critical functions within a trial. Our entire research staff receives annual GCP & OSHA training and participates in IATA & CITI training every two years.

Shelly Todd, CCRC has been our lead Coordinator for more than 8 years. She is the heartbeat of the staff and works tirelessly to ensure every volunteer receives the best that we have to offer in clinical research.
